New Delhi: Bodies of two Dalit minor real sisters were found hanging from a tree in a field on Wednesday in Lakhimpur Kheri. There is a stir in the police department. The story told by the mother of the deceased girls is horrifying. The mother alleges that her daughters were taken away from the house by 3 youths and murdered.
Mother of the dead narrated the story
After the incident, the mother told in her statement that she was sitting outside the house on Wednesday afternoon with her two daughters aged 15 years and 17 years. After sometime, leaving the daughters outside, she went inside the house to put on clothes. At the same time three boys on the bike came and dragged her daughters along. She said, “The three boys used to come every day. Today when they came, our daughters were sitting beside us.”
Angry family demonstrated
The mother said that during this time she ran to save the daughters and her clothes were also torn. Angered by this incident, the family members and villagers staged a fierce demonstration at Nighasan crossroads, a few kilometers away from the village. Lucknow Range Inspector General of Police Laxmi Singh said, “The bodies of two girls were found hanging from a tree in a field outside a village in Lakhimpur Kheri. No injuries were found on the bodies. Rest of the things will be known after the post-mortem. The Police is investigating the matter.”
In the case, the police took one of the accused, Chotu, into custody. The search for the rest of his accomplices is on. The mother of the deceased told that the three youths are residents of a nearby village.
