The local fire department reported on Friday that a private car with four people aboard caught fire after it suddenly broke down in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar.
Noticing smoke emanating from the car headed to the nearby Aghoriya Bazaar, the four people, including the car’s owner and UP home guard chief Arun Kumar Thakur, jumped out to safety. Officials still do not know the cause of the fire.
Muzaffarnagar Police Is Looking After The Matter
As the four people were on their way to the market for personal work, their car got engulfed in flames, causing brief chaos in the area. The locals then notified the fire department.
Thakur reported that the car suddenly broke down while he was en route to the market with three other people and quickly filled with smoke. He added that the occupants escaped safely after getting out of the car.
Fire Department Commandant Trilok Nath Jha said, “As soon as we received information about the fire, we rushed our team and a fire tender to the spot. After half an hour of firefighting operations, the blaze was extinguished. Officials are still uncertain about the cause of the fire.”
