People from all over the country are sending special gifts to Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the grand consecration event of the Ram Mandir on January 22. Like others, a Muslim man has sent a particular offering to the temple town: holy water from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Tanveer Ahmed obtained holy water from the Sharda Peeth Kund in Pakistan and delivered it to India via the UK for use in the Ram Temple’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’.

Man Sends Holy Water From Pok Via UK
Ravinder Pandita, the founder of Pok Via UK SSCK, stated that the water was sent via a chain of carriers. Pandita stated that the holy water was collected by Ahmed and his team, transported to Islamabad by members of the SSCK, and then sent to Ahmed’s daughter Maghribi in Britain. Maghribi gave up the holy water to a Kashmiri Pandit activist who visited Ahmedabad, India, in August of last year. The SSCK has established a civil society along the LoC in PoK.
Tanveer Ahmed and his colleagues collected holy water from the Sharda Kund at the Sharda Peeth Point of Knowledge. Our civil society member across the LoC (Line of Control) transported it to Islamabad, from where it was sent to his daughter Maghribi in the United Kingdom. Maghribi then gave it over to Sonal Sher, a Kashmiri Pandit activist who visited Ahmedabad, India, in August 2023. Pandita stated that it then arrived in Delhi.
He stated that links between India and Pakistan were momentarily blocked during the Balakote operations, thus the holy water was sent to Europe and subsequently transported to India. Later, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) representatives received holy water from Manjunath Sharma, an SSCK member.
