A big update for people who are travelling from Mumbai to Pune using the expressway. Commuters who will be using the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will be facing a rise in toll price during a particular time period.
This toll hike will be there on the route between 12 noon to 3 pm. People who will be commuting using this route will have to pay extra Rs 10 dur to the temporary diversion, as reported by Marathi Times.
Mumbai-Pune Expressway is constructed at the cost of Rs 16,300 crore. This rate have been introduced on Monday, January 27 and will remain in effect till Wednesday January 29.
In between this time, the vehicles will be diverted off the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and will get rerouted to the National Highway 48 at Varsoli. Along this route, there is a toll plaza at Varsoli. On this toll plaza four wheelers will be charged Rs 90. Usually, when you are using thiis Mumbai-Pune route, drivers pay Rs 240 at the toll plaza at Khalapur and extra toll charge for the final stretch into Pune, making the total to Rs 320.
But now due to the diversion, the commuters or the drivers will now have to pay a total of Rs 330 during the specified period.
