Union Road Transport & Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari announced on Saturday that Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru expressway will reduce traffic congestion. While addressing at a rally for BJP Candidate from Chinchwad seat Shankar Jagtap in Maharashtra Assembly election, Nitin Gadkari highlighted the importance of expressway. He mentioned that the expressway will be easing the traffic related problems.
Union Minister Gadkari shared that the estimated cost of project that is Rupees 55,000 crore. The project aims at reduction of traffic on the route. He mentioned that, “The expressway from Mumbai to Bengaluru, passing through the ring road, will help alleviate the persistent traffic jams in Pimpri Chinchwad”.
Not only about this project but he also mentioned about several other projects in Pune. Gadkari stated that flyover and elevated stretches worth Rupees 80,000 crore has got approved.
“The government is committed to completing these projects on time, ensuring better connectivity and reduced travel time for Pune residents,” said Gadkari.
Gadkari Talked On Other Projects At Rally
The projects includes a route connecting Nashik Phata to Khed, this will cost Rupees 8,000 crore. Another project is about construction of elevated road on Talegaon-Chakan route, this project will cost Rs 7,000 crore.
The announcement from Nitin Gadkari came ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly election. The election is scheduled to take place on November 20. The result for the Maharashtra election will be out on November 23, 2024.
