Mumbai: Mumbai Police on Sunday informed that a threat call alleging a tanker filled with RDX along with two Pakistani nationals headed to Goa from Mumbai was received at the Police Control Room.
“A concerning call was received by the Mumbai Police Control Room at 1 am, reporting the presence of a white tanker filled with RDX that was supposedly proceeding from Mumbai to Goa. The caller also claimed that two Pakistani nationals were aboard the tanker. In response to the call, the Mumbai Police immediately alerted the Maharashtra ATS and the Goa Police Control Room,” according to a senior Mumbai Police official.

The caller, identifying himself as Pandey, triggered an immediate investigation into the matter, said Mumbai Police.
The Mumbai Police verified the location from where the call was made and is currently working on tracing the caller.
More details are awaited as the situation unfolds, and further investigation is underway to assess the credibility of the threat.
This incident follows a similar threat call received on July 13 when an unidentified individual contacted the Mumbai Traffic Police Control Room, threatening to carry out an attack similar to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. The caller demanded the return of Pakistani national Seema Haider to Pakistan.
