Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway also known as the ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Marg’ is ready to bring change in the city. This route will revolutionize the city.
The length of the route is 701-Kilometers. The work on this route if almost completed, the last stretch of the route is likely to be done in February 2025.
The 625-Km of the route is currently open for the public. The route connects Nagpur to the Igatpuri a city in Maharashtra. After the full route is operational then the entire journey can be covered in just 8 hours.
Other than shortening travel distance, the expressway project include other engineering milestones. This includes the 13.3 km section road that connects the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. The expressway is an example of India’s brilliant modern road infrastructure with two cable bridge, around 2 km of tunnels and 8.9 km path available across the rough terrain. The expressway is an example for reducing road accidents and enhances advanced safety measures like emergency medical facilities, and an Intelligent Traffic Management System.

This will cut the travel time and make the journey comfortable for the commuters. Apart from this the whole route can be covered in just 8 hours. This is the half time. Earlier, it used to take 16 hours to reach Nagpur from Mumbai. The project will boost the infrastructural growth of Maharashtra. Apart from this the route will bring the economic growth of the state.
