Mumbai-Nagpur Bus Fire: In a tragic incident on late Friday night in Buldhana district of Maharashtra, an AC bus on the Samruddhi Expressway near Raja town in Sindkhed caught fire and turned into ashes. The bus, carrying 25 passengers, including driver, was going to Pune from Nagpur.
Buldhana SP Sunil Kadasen said that the incident took place late on Friday at around 2 pm. There were a total of 33 people in the bus. Out of which 25 passengers died. While 8 people have been injured. The injured are being admitted to Buldhana Civil Hospital. The driver of the bus is safe.
Bus overturns after tyre burst
The bus driver told the police that he was taking passengers from Yavatmal to Pune. The bus overturned after a sudden tire burst on the Samruddhi Expressway, causing the bus to catch fire. The accident happened when most of the passengers were sleeping. They didn’t even get a chance to leave.

Buldhana Deputy SP Baburao Mahamuni said that the fire brigade has brought the fire under control. 25 bodies have been removed from the bus. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem. Traffic on the expressway was affected due to the accident. The traffic police has restarted the expressway.
