An IndiGo flight (6E 1303) from Mumbai to Qatar’s Doha was delayed after encountering technical issues in the early hours of Sunday, on September 15. The situation led to a major uproar at the airport by the passengers who kept waiting on the plane for about five hours.
Approximately 250 to 300 passengers were eventually moved to the immigration waiting zone at the Mumbai airport. The aircraft was scheduled to take off from Mumbai at 3.55 am. However, it was cancelled because of the prolonged delay, after keeping the passengers waiting.

An IndiGo spokesperson informed that the aircraft attempted to depart for its destination twice but had to be cancelled due to the extended time lag following multiple procedural delays. Additionally, he said that the passengers were provided hotel rooms and issued new flight tickets based on their final destination.
He further stated that they quickly assisted the affected customers, offering them refreshments and other necessary arrangements.
