Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared an update on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project on Wednesday. The minister posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing how the project has significantly progressed and completed 360 kilometres of the corridor in Maharashtra. The minister named the video ‘Progress’ as the title.
He wrote on X, “ “India’s Bullet Train project update.” Interestingly, around 2 kilometers of tunnel under the sea has also been constructed.
The footage displayed the ongoing construction work at major locations like BKC underground station, Bandra Kurla Complex, Vikhroli, Sawli, Ghansoli, Shilphata, and Thane. The project work includes tunnelling and pier works which have been showcased. The construction work outlined that the project is making headway at a fast pace in the Maharashtra section.
On the other hand, the Gujarat corridor also made significant progress as it was shown in the video that development works took place in Palghar, Valsad, Navsari, and Bharuch districts. River bridges, viaducts, and station structures are being constructed.
