MSME Credit Card Limit Doubled – Know The Full Application Process

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2025 on February 1, 2025, highlighting several relief measures aimed at the middle class and specific benefits for (MSMEs).

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the budget on February 1, in which she announced multiple reliefs to the middle class. Among all relief, the Union Minister also introduced benefits for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) credit card holders.

The minister informed that MSME credit card holders are doubled, and cardholders will now get a guarantee of Rs 10 crore from Rs 5 crore. Additionally, each card will now get Rs 5 lakh limit issued in the first year.

To apply for the MSME credit card, you will need to approach your bank and get the details of your eligibility. If you meet the criteria, you will be able to apply for the card. With the use of MSME, you can easily manage your expenses related to business and get the exciting benefits.

There are multiple MSME cards from different banks. According to reports, there are around 7.5 crore people employed under MSME, and they are contributing 36 percent to manufacturing and 45 percent to export.
