New Delhi: Anurag Sharma has been elected as the International Treasurer of the Conference of Parliamentary Associations (CPA) at the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference in Halifax, Canada. He is an MP from Jhansi-Lalitpur Parliamentary Constituency.

CPA is the world’s largest and oldest International Parliamentary Association. Anurag Sharma MP (Lok Sabha) of Jhansi was elected as the treasurer of the CPA.his makes him the second Indian office bearer in the CPA. This sums up the total seat in the CPA to four Indian delegates now.

This annual conference is divided among the nine geographical regions of the Commonwealth. It is attended by Speakers and elected representatives of 180 Parliament and Legislative Assemblies from 55 countries. Their number is around 18,000. It is led by Om Birla, Lok Sabha Speaker from India. A 100-member delegation attended the event. This includes elected parliamentarians from across the country, as well as speakers of state assemblies.

MP Anurag Sharma has taken the lead in disseminating the goals and agenda of the association. Not only in the diverse CPA India region, but also in transforming the dreams, aspirations and upward dynamics in life for the provincial parliaments in the CPA India region. They are also playing an important role.

All relevant democratic nations are the members of CPA. It certainly enhances India’s prestige manifold. This has also increased country’s pride.

It is worth mentioning that Jhansi’s Lalitpur MP Anurag Sharma did his management studies from the internationally renowned Harvard Business School, Boston. After that he took over as Executive Director at Shree Baidyanath Ayurvedic Bhavan as a reputed industrialist. Seeing the efficiency and achievements, Anurag Sharma has been included in many international delegations as an MP.
