In Banda, Uttar Pradesh, a distressing incident unfolded early this morning when a man allegedly set his house on fire after his wife fled with her lover, leaving their five children behind. The fire, which broke out around 2 a.m. at Lallu’s residence in the Kartal police station area of Naraini, rapidly spread and threatened the safety of those inside.
The police, responding to a report about the blaze, arrived at the scene despite the victim’s request to stay away, as he claimed everything had already burned down. Upon arrival, authorities found the thatched house engulfed in flames, with no one attempting to extinguish the fire. They successfully rescued Lallu’s five children and elderly mother.

Lallu initially accused a man from a neighboring village, whom he claimed had taken his wife, of starting the fire. However, further investigation revealed that Lallu had not made any effort to put out the blaze and was discovered resting on a cot. Despite his claim of no available water, the police used water from nearby pits to control the fire.
Chowki Incharge, Banda Roshan Kumar Gupta confirmed that the fire brigade, alerted around 2 a.m., quickly responded with the help of local residents to bring the blaze under control. All individuals in the house are safe.

The ongoing investigation suggests that Lallu may have set the fire himself in his anger over his wife’s departure. No evidence supports the involvement of the man accused by Lallu. A complaint has been filed, and further investigation is in progress.
