Moradabad: Anuj Chaudhary, a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, was shot dead outside his residence on Thursday evening in Moradabad, police said.

The murder incident was recorded on CCTV, which footage shows, three men came on a bike and shoot him while he was walking outside his apartment with a person.

According to police, the BJP leader was rushed to Moradabad’s BrightStar Hospital where he succumbed to bullet injuries.

Chaudhary was an active member. last year, he contested the block chief elections from Sambhal’s Asmoli block but he was unsuccessful.

Anuj’s family claimed that there must be political rivals behind his killing. According to the police, They have Amit Chaudhary and Aniket as accused.

The Moradabad Police have registered a case against four people and started tracking them. The Police assured strict action against the accused.
