Heavy Rainfall: The problems for the Northwest India do not seem to end any time soon as India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of the area across the country, during the next five days.
According to the statement issued by the weather department, Northwest India will receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Uttar Pradesh during next two days along with isolated heavy rainfall thereafter.

However, Himachal Pradesh is one of the worst landslides and and flash floods hit state triggered by heavy rains, as several tourist from all around the world, were stuck at the place waiting to get the connectivity restored or being rescued.
Informing about the weather condition of Himachal Pradesh, the weather department said that isolated heavy rainfall very likely over the state during next five days.
“Apart from this, North Haryana will also recieve heavt rainfall during next three days and East Rajasthan will witness the rainfall on July, 14th and 17th . Isolated very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall very likely over Uttarakhand during next five days,” said IMD.
Giving the details about the weather condition of Eastern and northeastern parts of India, IMD said, “Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Bihar in the next two days, with a reduction thereafter. Odisha may experience isolated heavy rainfall over the next five days, while Nagaland, Manipur, and Gangetic West Bengal may see isolated heavy rainfall in the coming days. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Meghalaya can anticipate isolated very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on July 13-14, followed by a reduction.”
“In central India, there will be light to moderate fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh in the next two days, with a decrease on July 15-16 and an increase thereafter. West Madhya Pradesh may witness isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall today, followed by a reduction,” the Meteorological Department predicted.
“Western India can expect light to moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall continuing over Konkan & Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra for the next five days. Gujarat state will experience isolated heavy rainfall over the next two days, with Goa having isolated very heavy rainfall today,” it stated.
“In southern India, coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, and Kerala can expect light to moderate fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall in the next three days. Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana may experience the same in the next two days. Coastal Karnataka may witness isolated very heavy rainfall today, followed by a reduction,” IMD added.
