International Yoga Day: PM Narendra Modi celebrated Yoga Day in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar with the people of the valley at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC). The yoga session was slightly delayed due to rain in the territory which suffered heatwaves until today. It is due to the weather that the event took place in two parts.

In the 10th year of this international event, PM Modi joined people and led the Yoga session followed by selfies with other participants. Prominent leaders including UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai also celebrated the day by taking part in Yoga sessions with people at different locations.

However, the two prominent allies of the BJP in this NDA government, namely JDU and TDP, seem to have retrained themselves from this event. At least their X handles don’t show any sign of interest in this event that was given to the world by India. Till now, no video of these politicians has appeared on the occasion of Yoga Day, nor have they tweeted any posts on it.

Notably, JDU chief Nitish Kumar was barely seen doing Yoga anytime before but the Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu has been seen previously following the Yoga routine. Why has he restrained this time then? Reasons obviously best known to him. What does it signify? Is Naidu happy in the NDA govt?

It is not the Modi government of 2014 or 2019, it is the NDA government of 2024 which is running with the support of its allies after securing 240 seats out of 543 in the Lok Sabha polls. A single off-track may disturb the stability of this govt.
