SC criminalises conducting two-finger tests on rape survivors

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Friday issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government while hearing a plea of 17-year-old boy to donate liver to his father.

The Supreme Court ruled that all the preliminary tests of the minor should be done to find out if the donation can be done.

The apex court will conduct the next hearing in the matter on September 12. The SC ordered officer from the UP health department to remain present before it during the next hearing.

The father of the petitioner is in a critical condition who needs liver transplantation as soon as possible.
