New Delhi: Mild earthquake shocks were felt today in Delhi and surrounding areas. There were no early reports of injuries or property damage. According to seismologists the vibrations, which lasted a few seconds, happened at approximately 11.23 a.m. Many sections of Punjab and Haryana, including Chandigarh, experienced tremors. On Sunday morning, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was detected in Fayzabad, Afghanistan, according to India's National Centre for Seismology. According to the agency, the epicentre of the earthquake was 79 kilometres southeast (SE) of Fayzabad, Afghanistan. The earthquake occurred at 11:19 a.m. IST at a depth of 220 kilometres below the surface.
