Mid-air ruckus: In yet another case of drunk passenger creating ruckus in mid-air, a man tried to open the emergency exit gate in Delhi-Bengaluru indigo flight on Friday. He was later arrested by police after the plane landed safely.
The incident took place on Indigo Delhi-Bengaluru flight on Friday. The man was identified as R Pratheek. He is a resident of Kanpur. He was handed over to the airport authorities soon after the Indigo flight landed at Kempegowda International Airport.
The passenger who was travelling on flight 6E 308 from Delhi- Bengaluru tried to open the flap of emergency landing exit gate under the under influence of alcohal. on getting this, the crew members alerted the captain and the passenger was cautioned, according to the the airline statement.
A case of causing nuisance and endangering others’ life and safety has been registered against the passenger.

Details of the incident
Giving details of the incident, Indigo said, “A passenger traveling on flight 6E 308 from Delhi to Bengaluru, in an inebriated state, tried to open the emergency exit flap.” On reaching Bengaluru, the passenger was handed over to CISF. Further investigation of the matter is underway.
During this, alert crew members caught him. After the flight landed, it was handed over to CISF. The incident took place in flight number 6E 308 from IGI airport at around 7.56 am on Friday.

It is being told that the accused is a marketing executive in an e-commerce firm. Case against the accused under IPC sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), section 290 (public nuisance) and section 11A (intentionally doing unlawful act) of the Aircraft Act 1934 Has been recorded.
