Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case: Amid the developments in Meghalaya Honeymoon murder case, a video is going viral on social media. The purported video shows one of the accused, Raj Kushwaha at the funeral of Raja Raghuvanshi. In the video, he is seen holding Sonam’s father which has sparked fresh suspicion on whether her family knew about their alleged affair. His presence at Raja’s funeral has raised suspicion on his alleged affair with Sonam and involvement in the murder case. Police is yet to find the mastermind and ascertain the exact reason of the killing. The Shillong Police on Monday obtained a seven-day transit remand for three accused from a court in Madhya Pradesh in connection with the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.
Raja’s Mother On Raj Kushwaha
As the video went viral, Raja’s mother Uma Raghuvanshi also confirmed that some people have claimed to see him (Raj) with Sonam’s father at the funeral of her son. It is told that Kushwaha was the one driving a four-wheeler and taking people to Raghuvanshi’s family after the Rajas’ body arrived at his home in Indore.
Earlier, while talking to ANI, she said that Sonam should be hanged if she is involved. Raja’s mother stated that Sonam always behaved well with her and hugged her when they met.
“They (police) did not tell even in the morning that Sonam was found. A CBI investigation should happen. If Sonam has not done anything, why would she be accused? Sonam had good behaviour; she used to hug me,” said Uma Raghuvanshi.
When asked about Raj Kushwaha, one of the accused in her son’s mother, she denied knowing anything about it. She added that Sonam’s parents may know him (Raj)
“I did not know about Raj Kushwaha, Sonam’s parents may know about him. Our children never hide anything from their parents and can never do wrong to anyone,” Raja’s mother said.
She also recounted that she was bit apprehensive when Raja went wearing his gold chain to Meghalaya. “I was afraid that he might get into trouble because of the chain,” added Uma Raghuvanshi.
As of the latest development in the case, the Meghalaya Police on Monday got the transit remand of the three accused.
