How to convince Vasundhara?
After the observers, Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandey, and Vinod Tavde reached Jaipur, many speculations were doing rounds. Seeing what the party has already done In Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, it was quite evident that Vasundhara Raje Scindia will not be the party’s pick. But will Vasundhara accept a name that’s not hers was a big question; for Ms. Raje’s records of revolt are known to all. So who will bell the cat?
8 MLAs in hotel
Kirorilal Meena and Vasudev Devnani marched to the BJP office on Tuesday morning. Groupism has been a common phenomenon in Rajasthan’s BJP; thanks to Raje and the group that tried revolting in 2013. But this time, the party was all prepared. It had plan B and for the same, it had considered 8 independent MLAs to get support if needed.
Meetings in separate rooms
The three observers went on to meet a few leaders in separate rooms. If sources are to be believed, Diya Kumari and Anita Bhadel were taken to two separate rooms for conversation while Rajnath Singh spoke with Bhajanlal Sharma in another room. Similarly, Vinod Tavde and Saroj Pandey spoke with Prem Chandra Bairwa.
A phone call & it was decided
Rajnath Singh received a phone call from the BJP president JP Nadda and they conversed for a few minutes. Thereafter a chit was handed to Vasundhara Raje Scindia and the rest is history.
