Uttar Pradesh will soon loose another gem from its officer workforce as senior IAS Anamika Singh has recently applied for voluntary retirement (VRS) a 2004 batch officer. Anmaika Singh is known as a dynamic and efficient administrator. She has held several important positions in the Uttar Pradesh government. The reason behind her VRS has also been revealed. But such a sudden decision has become a topic of discussion within the bureaucratic circles.
Her request to seek VRS has been submitted to the state government. It's believed that the request will be accepted soon, given her impeccable record and integrity in every posting. During her 20 year career, she served as District Magistrate( DM) in various districts, including kaushambi, Hamirpur, and Bahraich. In her last posting, she served as special Secretary of teh Department of Child development and nutrition.

After completing her training on September 6,2004 she was appointed as an IAS officer. After completing her probationary period on September 6, 20066, she received her first posting as an IAS officer.

IAS Anamika Singh has worked in several important administrative roes in Lucknow, including thepost of additional commissioner of Lucknow. At the time of applying for VRS she was posted as the special secretary Child Development and Nutrition department.
Why did IAS Anamika Singh take VRS?
The reason for senior IAS officer Anamika Singh’s voluntary retirement (VRS) has been revealed. According to media reports, administrative and political circles are discussing the issue, claiming that she was seeking a No Objection Certificate from the state government to go on deputation to the central government.
And hence, due to the prolonged delay in receiving her NOC, she has now decided to take VRS from government service. Her application cited personal reasons. However, within the Bureaucracy, er move is being linked to the denial of permission for deputation to the central government.
