Meerut Murder Case: Meerut murder case continues to shock people with a new revelation every day. The story has taken a chilling turn with recent confession of the accused Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla. The duo have accepted to dismembering the body. They have also revealed why besides killing, they mutilated Saurabh’s body. During the police, interrogation they stated why it was necessary for them to cut off his body into pieces. Their confession has further shocked the nation.
What Did They Reveal?
Muskan and Sahil decided to dismember Saurabh’s body to save themselves from the police and fear of getting caught. They severed his wrists to prevent the police from identifying him through his fingerprints, India TV reported. The duo didn’t stop here, and further slit his throat and beheaded him. They did so as they thought a headless body would make it difficult to trace the identity of the victim.
The forensic team found bloodstains on pillows, bathroom tiles and bedsheets, indicating a horrific crime scene. A suitcase has also been recovered from the crime scene, which Muskan and Sahil had planned to use to dispose of his body first. But they changed their plan after his body did not fit inside. The process of stuffing him, left blood stains on the suitcase as well.
Post-Mortem Report Of Saurabh
Meanwhile, the post-mortem report revealed gruesome details about his murder. It stated that Saurabh died 2 to 3 weeks ago due to the injuries he sustained. Excessive bleeding, injuries and shock were identified as factors leading to his death. According to the report, “Cause of death is Shock and Hemorrhage as a result of Ante Mortem Injuries, which is sufficient to cause death in ordinary course of nature.”
According to the report, Saurabh’s neck was separated from his torso. Both hands were also separated from the body. The hands were cut from the wrist. The report further stated that five injury marks have been found on the body. It is also noted that all the injuries on the body have been inflicted with a sharp weapon. All these were listed as the reasons for his death. Apart from this, Saurabh’s body was completely decomposed. His face was completely swollen with one eye open and other one shut. His body was completely wrapped in cement and had decayed to a great extent. An injury on his chin was also observed along with the marks of a noose on his neck.
