Days after the infamous murder of a Merchant Navy officer in Meerut, a video surfaced on social media platforms on Friday. The video shows that deceased Saurabh Rajput was dancing with his wife Muskan Rastogi and six-year-old daughter Pihu at a birthday party.
Birthday Celebration
A video from February 28 shows Pihu celebrating her birthday with her parents during a restaurant party. The video widely circulated on social media platforms, and people criticised Muskan, who allegedly killed Saurabh with the help of his male friend.

The Murder
According to reports, Muskan confessed that she stabbed Saurabh with the help of her male friend Sahil on March 4. After the murder, they cut his body parts into small pieces and packed them in a drum before cementing it.
How Crime Came To The Fore
The incident came to light in a shocking way when workers were shifting the drum from one place to another. During the shifting, when the lid of the drum opened, they smelled a foul smell, following which cops were alerted. It took police teams six hours to remove the body of the deceased from its confined state inside the drum.
Unexpected Family Revelation
Law enforcement sources revealed that the woman who was mistakenly identified as Muskan’s mother yet demanded Muskan’s execution belongs to another category of relation because she is really her stepmother. Muskan faced a series of struggles during both her childhood events and her quest for becoming a film actress.

Further investigations uncovered chilling details. The duo transported Saurabh’s mutilated head along with his palm inside a bag after he died. The local market sale of a knife and drum to Muskan by local vendors led investigators to believe she was involved in the case. One of the shops in the market verified that a person resembling Muskan purchased a drum at full price for ₹1,100.
Saurabh’s Knowledge Of Muskan’s Affair
Evidence shows Saurabh became aware of Muskan’s love affairs dating back to 2021, and he initiated divorce proceedings. The evidence shows that Muskan gave him drugs before committing the murder. The pharmacy transaction documents show evidence for the required medicinal products purchase. The knife shop owner lacks certainty whether Muskan purchased the knife from his premises, thus introducing an element of mystery.
Family Alleges Cover-Up
The family of Saurabh rejects evidence that attributes ignorance to Muskan’s parents regarding the criminal act. According to Renu Devi, Muskan’s family members detected the murder previously yet waited to report it to the authorities for legal protection. Pihu revealed to her family that her father was inside a drum, but police officials dismissed this information as based on what she learned after police uncovered the crime.
