A student from Ghaziabad, identified as Rizwan is also among the trapped in the Israel-Iran conflict. Rizwan went to Iran a year ago, to study MBBS from Tehran University. Seeing the current situation between Iran and Israel, which is expected to escalate further, Rizwan’s family is also worried. They reside in Loni area of Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh. The family members have pleaded to the government to help all the Indian students studying in Iran.
Mohammad Ali, who lives in a colony of Behta in Loni, runs a grocery shop. His family includes elder son Rizwan, younger son Jama Mohammad, three daughters and wife Chamanrani. His 21-year-old elder son Rizwan went to Iran a year ago to study MBBS from Tehran University. Since the recent war between Iran and Israel, all the family members are worried about Rizwan’s safety and are pleading for help from the government.
According to his father Mohammad Ali, he received Rizwan’s call on Sunday evening. He said that he was going to have dinner. Rizwan informed about explosions happening all around. He (Rizwan) added that the building where he was living was also damaged. Hearing this, his family is worried and asking the government to help all the students trapped in Iran.
MEA Confirms Relocation Of Indian Students In Iran
Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday asserted that the Indian Embassy in Tehran is actively monitoring the security situation amid rising regional tensions. It stated that the embassy is in regular contact with Indian students to ensure their safety. In some cases, students are being relocated by the Embassy to safer areas within Iran, stated the MEA. Notably, the conflict between Iran and Israel has escalated, with series of strikes from both sides entering the third day on Sunday. In such alarming situation, the Indian government is monitoring the entire situation and has alerted the nationals residing there.
