Mathura Shocker: Year-Old Toddler Abducted From Railway Station, Family Raises Alarm As Accused Boards Moving Train

A one-year-old child was abducted from Mathura Junction railway station while the family slept, with the accused fleeing on a moving train as police launched a multi-team search using CCTV footage.

A one-year-old child was abducted from Platform No. 1 of Mathura Junction Railway Station on Friday night. Police told PTI that the incident took place while the family was asleep. The accused, spotted by the mother, managed to escape by boarding a moving train.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 10 PM. The family had been resting on the platform with their two young daughters while waiting for their train.

“Pooja had gone to the restroom when she saw a man carrying her one-year-old child. She raised an alarm, waking her husband and other passengers. However, in the ensuing chaos, the abductor managed to board the moving Sampark Kranti Express and flee,” the SHO told PTI.

Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are scanning CCTV footage that shows a man carrying the child. As per the report, three police teams have been deployed to search for the suspect and the child.

The SHO said that the search for both the child and the abductor is underway.
