In Khanna, Punjab, a shocking theft has come to light. Goods worth Rs 1.21 crore, including 221 iPhones, went missing from a Logistics truck. In total, 234 items disappeared just before Flipkart’s ‘Big Billion Sale’, raising questions about how the shipment was secured. Khanna police have filed a case against the truck driver, Nasir from Kakrala, Bharatpur, Rajasthan, and his helper Chet, who are accused of stealing the high-value goods on their way to Flipkart’s warehouse.

What happened before Flipkart’s ‘Big Billion Sale’

The truck, which was robbed, was operated by a Gurgaon-based logistics partner of Flipkart. It was assigned to deliver more than 11,000 parcels from Haryana to Flipkart’s Warehouse in Khanna district of Ludhiana. The vehicle was driven by Nasir, a resident of Rajasthan, who was recently hired along with an assistant. Upon reaching the destination, the assistant reportedly abandoned the truck and fled. During the unloading, warehouse staff discovered that 234 parcels, including 221 iPhones and several other high-value devices, were missing. Additionally, five other mobile phones, clothes, cosmetics, and perfumes, valued at ₹1,21,68,373. Police suspect a planned theft that targeted premium electronics. In a complaint filed with the police, Pritam Sharma, who works in field operations for the transport company, Ludhiana Police registered a case under Sections 379 (theft) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code against the driver and his accomplice.

Police launch an Enquiry

According to the police, “Preliminary evidence suggests that both the driver and his helper had prior knowledge of the consignment,”

DSP Amritpal Singh Bhati stated that the police are investigating technical evidence, examining CCTV footage and digital lock data. An investigation is underway to determine how the high-security Digi-Lock installed in Mumbai was finally opened. Meanwhile, this massive theft during Flipkart’s “Big Billion Sale” has raised serious questions about the company’s security system. The company has launched an internal investigation, while police are conducting raids to search for the two accused.
