In a significant crackdown in line with the Zero Tolerance policy against drugs, Delhi Police and Gujarat Police seized 518 kilograms of cocaine valued at Rs 5,000 crore in a joint operation on Sunday. This massive haul was found during a search of a drug-related company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.
The operation follows previous action taken on October 1 when the Special Cell of Delhi Police raided a godown owned by a person named Tushar Goyal in Mahipalpur. During that operation, authorities seized 562 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana.
Further investigations led to the recovery of 208 kilograms of additional cocaine from a shop in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi, on October 10. It was found that the recovered drug originated from the drug-related company in question in Gujarat.
