Lalu Yadav To Cut A 77 Kg Cake
Today, Lalu Yadav will cut a 77-kilogram cake at his residence in Patna to celebrate his 77th birthday. His party, RJD, will also celebrate his birthday in a grand manner.
Pictures from the late-night celebrations showed Lalu Yadav feeding cake to his son Tej Pratap Yadav, with his wife Rabri Devi and daughter also in the frame.
When Does His Exact Birthday Falls?
Lalu Yadav once stated, “I still don’t know my exact birthday. My party workers celebrate the day because it’s the date on my school certificate.”
Lalu’s Political Career
Lalu Prasad Yadav started his political career over four decades ago with his first election to the Lok Sabha from Bihar’s Chhapra seat (now called Saran) in 1977. Despite experiencing electoral setbacks, he continued to play a significant role in the Indian politics.
During his career, Lalu Yadav served multiple roles, such as an MLA, a chief minister, and a member of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Legal challenges arose when Lalu had to step down as Bihar’s chief minister in 1997 due to his involvement in fodder scam cases. Despite this, his popularity with the people of the state remained strong, and he continued to hold influence in Bihar’s political arena.
