Union minister Lalan Singh on Friday asserted that ten lakh jobs have been provided and employment has been created in other sectors too.
Speaking at News24’s Manthan 2025, Singh rejected the claims and said that Nitish Kumar is running the government, and the decisions taken by him in recent times are historic.
When asked about Nitish Kumar’s silence over corruption charges against Ashok Choudhary, Lalan Singh said there should be some basis for such allegations, and that mere accusations by anyone do not justify a reaction from the chief minister.
The minister also reacted to the 30% reservation promised in local bodies and the new law to protect the extreme backward classes by the opposition. He said that making announcements in the media and implementing them on the ground are two different things.
The aim of Manthan 2025 is to bring forth the views of leaders on their plans and vision for the people of Bihar, and to highlight what priorities they would set after winning the polls.
Though the Election Commission has yet to announce the poll dates, all political parties have already pulled up their socks and are trying to convince the people with their future prospects for the growth and development of the state.
