Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday said that his political birth itself was for making Nitish Kumar the chief minister.
While speaking at News24’s Manthan 2025, the Bihar deputy chief minister said that the people of Bihar are supporting the NDA and that the “state of lawlessness and Gabbar Singh will never return to power.”
He said the Congress party has always been an opponent of reservation. He added that the grand old party and former Congress prime ministers did not provide reservation, but it was the BJP that granted reservation to the extremely backward classes in 1977.
The deputy CM said, “This is Ram’s India; everyone here is a descendant of Ram.” He rejected allegations that the BJP is playing the politics of polarisation, adding that the saffron party talks about “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas.”
Samrat Choudhary alleged that infiltration from Bangladesh happens through Bengal. Replying to a question about the SIR exercise by the Election Commission not providing details on the number of illegal immigrants, the deputy chief minister said, “How can those who are not even citizens of the country be voters?”
