Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani on Friday said he would follow the ideas of Lalu Prasad Yadav and ensure the return of the Mahagathbandhan to power in the Bihar assembly polls. While sharing his thoughts at News 24’s Manthan 2025, Sahani hit out at the Modi government for not creating jobs in the last 11 years.
Sahani said that people of his community had thought in 2014 that the backward classes would get their representation through the BJP government, but the assurance of 5 kilograms of rice had left 80 crore people in the lurch, and unemployment has surged since then.
Sahani claimed that once the Mahagathbandhan comes to power, he would implement a few programmes of Nitish Kumar, as he is not an outsider-he also belongs to them.
The VIP chief said, ” We will conduct a caste-based census in the country and provide reservation accordingly.”
The aim of Manthan 2025 is to bring forth the views of leaders on their plans and vision for the people of Bihar, and to highlight what priorities they would set after winning the polls.
Though the Election Commission has yet to announce the poll dates, all political parties have already pulled up their socks and are trying to convince the people with their future prospects for the growth and development of the state.
