In an exclusive interview with News24, Union Minister Anurag Thakur expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a majority in the upcoming Delhi elections. Thakur highlighted the growing trust of the people in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “The BJP will form the government in Delhi. Modi will fulfill all the promises made to the people of Delhi. All the welfare schemes will continue. We will make Delhi free from pollution and clean the Yamuna River,” Thakur stated. When Anchor Asha Jha asked about the number of seats the BJP is expected to win, Thakur confidently declared that the party would secure a full majority.
Thakur also emphasized the Modi government’s historic achievement in advancing women’s rights, noting that the BJP is the only party to have appointed the highest number of women ministers in the Cabinet. He mentioned that the government had successfully passed the Women Reservation Bill, ensuring 33% representation for women in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies.
