New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Tuesday termed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as “Bhagati (runnin away) Janata Party” while accusing the latter of delaying the Mayor elections.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader also dared the BJP in a strong voice to let the polls for electing the Delhi Mayor happen. He asked the saffron party to “accept the defeat and the fact that the people of Delhi have defeated you.”
He alleged that the BJP gave the garbage mountain to the city while the cases of corruption were esclated. He said first the party kept running away from Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls and now, they are repeating the same for the mayor’s election.

This comes after a clash took place in the House on Tuesday again, two weeks after failing to elect the mayor. This followed the adjournment of the MCD House for indefinite period.
Meanwhile, the elected councillors along with 13 MLAs and 3 MPs are still sitting in the House demanding to complete the election process today itself.
