Manish Sisodia Case Update: Former Delhi Deputy CM and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia has been denied bail once again. He has filed a bail plea in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court following the expiry of his 5-day CBI custody in a corruption case related to the Delhi excise scam.
The court has extended the CBI custody of Manish Sisodia for 2 more days, The Special Judge MK Nagpal asked CBI to produce him before the court on Monday.
In his bail request, Manish Sisodia’s lawyer said that keeping him in custody will “Serve no fruitful purpose’ as all the recoveries in the matter have already been made by CBI. But, The court denied bail and listed the bail hearing on March 10.
CBI sought 3 more days of custody of Manish Sisodia to which the court sent him two 2 days of CBI Custody. CBI has to produce Manish before the court on Monday.
After the order was pronounced, Former Delhi Deputy CM said that CBI was treating him well but repeated questions were causing mental harassment.
The court asked the CBI not to ask him the same question again and again.
