New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar Monday reiterated his concerns over the arrest of former Deputy Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
“First signature in that letter is mine. We want PM to take our concerns seriously. For example, in Kejriwal government the person who worked well in education sector and was praised by many is being arrested,” said the NCP chief.
This comes a day later when nine Opposition parties across India wrote a joint letter to PM Modi over the arrest of Manish Sisodia alleging that the central investigative agencies are being misused.
In the letter, many prominent parties including TMC and BRS alleged that the agencies do not take any action against those who joins the Bharatiya Janata Party later to escape the investigation.
In that regards, the parties named former Congress leader and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari who is a former member of Mamata Banerjee-led TMC.
“There are many examples of such arrests. At the same time, those who had allegations had no action taken against them after they joined that party (BJP),” added Sharad Pawar.
