New Delhi: A series of fresh clashes occured across violence-hit Manipur including Imphal valley on Sunday. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh told the media that at least 30 ‘terrorists’ were taken down so far.
The CM added that the terrorists were killed in different areas of Manipur in order to take control over the law and order situation. The killings took place in retaliation against the agitated group. These outfits used sophisticated arms against civilains, he added.

Apart from the ones who were taken down, the security forces arrested many other terrorists.
The Indian Army and Assam Riffles had launcehd an combing operation on Saturday soon after the instances of clashes in Imphal valley and its nearby areas were reported.
It should be noted that a visit of union home minister Amit Shah is scheduled on Monday.
