In New Delhi, police reported that a man allegedly slit his daughter’s throat and disposed of her body on a farm in Rohini’s Kanjhawala area. The incident occurred because the daughter expressed a desire to marry someone against the family’s wishes.
Reports on Sunday discovered her in Chandpur village in Kanjhawla, lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Guriqbal Singh Sidhu confirmed that police have apprehended the 46-year-old suspect. He stated that the police received a report of the incident at 8:53 pm on Sunday.
Sidhu mentioned that upon reaching the scene, a police team discovered a woman with severe injuries to her neck and abdomen. She was swiftly transported to a hospital where medical professionals pronounced her deceased upon arrival.
Police tracked down the registration number of the taxi used by the father and daughter. Based on technical evidence, authorities identified the woman and confirmed her relationship with the man as her father, another police officer reported.
On Monday morning, the police team apprehended the father, who confessed to the crime. He revealed that he had picked up his daughter from his son’s residence in Narela on Sunday evening, according to the officer.
According to police reports, the man hired a cab to travel to their residence in Prem Nagar. However, during the journey, he got into a heated argument with his daughter. They instructed the driver to drop them off in Kanjhawala instead. Allegedly, he then took her to a nearby farm, where he fatally slit her throat and inflicted multiple stab wounds, causing her immediate death at the scene, according to the officer.
