In a significant security breach, an unidentified man attempted to approach Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on stage during a Democracy Day event in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Attempt Foiled by Security Personnel
Video footage of the incident shows the man, later identified as Mahadev Nayak, running toward the Chief Minister before being intercepted by security officers just in time.
Detained for Security Violation
Nayak, who reportedly intended to present the CM with a garland and shawl, was detained for violating security protocols. Despite having a valid pass and proper identification, his unauthorized approach was deemed a breach, resulting in his immediate detention.
Official Response
“A person named Mahadev Nayak has been taken into custody after he tried to garland a shawl to CM Siddaramaiah. Although he had proper identification, his actions breached security,” a police official stated.
CM Siddaramaiah Unharmed
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah remained seated on stage throughout the incident and was unharmed, while the detained individual was questioned by authorities.
