A 25-yr-old man was arrested for raping a 12-yr-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr. The police have arrested the accused and are looking for the man’s mother who has been named as a co-accused in the case.
An FIR has been lodged by the girl’s uncle. As per FIR, the girl was on her way to school when the accused allegedly pulled her into his shop and committed the offence. The accused threatened the girl with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to others.
A senior police official said, “The victim was crying for help. A few passersby and school guards rushed to the shop to rescue her. The accused and his mother fled from the crime scene.”
The police have arrested the accused but his mother is still at large.
A police officer said the girl’s parents were not alive and she was living with her uncle. The mother of the accused threatened the guards that more girls would be targeted. But she fled after people gathered at her shop.
