The crime branch of Gurugram Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his live-in partner. The incident took place on March 11. The victim’s body has been recovered from a field in Naharpur village.
Victim was a native of Bihar
According to the IANS report, the accused has been identified as Shiv Shankar Sharma, alias Kali Charan, a native of Uttar Pradesh, while the victim has been identified as Rita, who was a native of Bihar.
The body was wrapped in a blanket
The police said they received information about the incident and rushed to the spot. The police recovered the woman’s body which was wrapped in a blanket in a field.
Woman’s father identified Rita’s body
The woman’s body was kept in the mortuary for identification. The police said the woman’s father identified her on March 31. The woman’s father said his daughter was married 11 years ago and came to Naharpur with her husband. Both were living in a rented accommodation.
Rita’s husband had left her
He further told the cops that due to some differences, Rita and her husband started living separately. He said that his daughter began living in a relationship with Kali Charan.
The police said that Rita’s father suspects Kali Charan has killed his daughter.
Kali Charan dumped Rita’s body in a field
Upon receiving a complaint from Rita’s father, the police registered a case and arrested Kali Charan. The police said the accused suspected Rita of infidelity, and he killed her and dumped her body in a field of wheat. The accused will be produced before the court.
Delhi police nabbed two auto drivers
Delhi Police arrested two auto-rickshaw drivers, Akhtar Raja (41) and Ghulam Raza (25), for robbing a Security Assistant Executive with the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Manish Pandey. The incident occurred on April 11 at around 1:00 AM at the RK Ashram Marg traffic signal. Both accused are TSR drivers by profession.
According to police, Pandey was waiting for an auto-rickshaw when Raja and Raza, who were driving a TSR, approached him. Raza allegedly threatened Pandey with a knife and snatched his wallet containing important documents and Rs 1,500.
