New Delhi: In a massive bust, Delhi Customs seized 1660 grams of Cocaine worth over Rs 24 Crore on Sunday from a male passenger at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
In an X post, the official handle of Delhi Customs informed that a male passenger of Federal Republic of Liberia Nationality arrived from Dubai to Delhi with the cocaine. According to reports, the accused passenger has been arrested under NDPS Act, 1985 and further investigations into the case are underway.
On the basis of profiling, Customs@IGI Airport have seized 1660 grams of Cocaine valued at Rs.24.90 cr from one male Pax of Federal Republic of Liberia Nationality who arrived from Dubai to Delhi. Another Similar Contraband Operations By Delhi Customs
In a remarkable operation, Delhi Customs confiscated 895 grams of foreign-origin gold worth Rs 61.11 lakhs from a passenger who arrived from Imphal at Delhi Airport Terminal 2.
In another significant contraband bust by Delhi Customs, 312 grams of Cocaine valued at Rs 4.68 crore was seized from a female pax of Republic of Kenya nationality who travelled from Addis Ababa to Delhi.
Similar other drug busts were previously made where the airport authorities confisticated 280 grams of Cocaine valued at over Rs 3 Crore. A Ugandan female passenger was arrested in the matter who arrived from Entebbe to Sharjah and then travelled from Sharjah to Delhi.
