The deceased have been identified as Prem Singh (aged between 45–50), his wife Rajani (40–45), and their 24-year-old son Ritik. Their bodies were discovered late on Wednesday, prompting the police to immediately deploy a forensic team to the scene for inspection.
The preliminary probe revealed the absence of another family member- Siddharth, the couple’s younger son, aged around 22–23 years. Locals and neighbors informed police that Siddharth had been undergoing psychiatric treatment. Investigators also learned that he allegedly confessed to someone about killing his family and expressed his intention to leave home permanently.
Police have launched a manhunt for Siddharth, who is now a prime suspect in the case. “We are examining all angles, including Siddharth’s medical history, statements of neighbours, and forensic evidence from the crime scene,” said a Delhi Police officer.
The triple murder has shocked the Maidangarhi locality, leaving residents in disbelief over the incident. Authorities have assured that all leads are being pursued to establish the sequence of events and bring clarity to the case. Further investigation is underway.
