Bihar Politics: Political turmoil is in full swing in Bihar. From today, two days special of Bihar Legislative Assembly is going on. Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha resigned from his post as soon as the proceedings of the Assembly began. Maheshwar Hazari has been made the working speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly after the resignation of Vijay Kumar Sinha.
Earlier Maheshwar Hazari was the Deputy Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Addressing the House, Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “I had always tried to do this by keeping a balance between the ruling party and the opposition.”
During the BJP-JDU coalition government in Bihar, BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha was made the speaker of the assembly. Maheshwar Hazari was made deputy speaker from the JDU quota.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will prove the majority of his government in the assembly today. Nitish Kumar had claimed the support of 164 MLAs in front of Governor Fagu Chauhan after parting ways with the BJP. It is believed that Nitish Kumar will easily prove his majority.
