A chat leaked on social media revealed these conversations, which not only discussed trapping girls in relationships but also included disturbing plans to harass and commit obscene acts against them. One message explicitly stated, “Don’t leave a single Hindu girl untouched after entering the Garba festival.”

The college quickly filed a complaint at the Bolinj police station, asking for legal action. One of the students involved in the chats was identified and handed over to the police. The police have started the process of registering a case for hurting religious feelings. So far, they have not given any official statement on camera. The chats have caused anger among Hindu groups. They have filed a case, demanded strict action, and created a commotion at the police station, insisting that an FIR be registered.

Some student groups and political organisations have said that the police are not taking action. They claim that even after three days, nothing has been done. These groups have said they will continue to sit outside the police station until the police act. The college authorities said that Viva College is only an educational institution and has no links to any political group.
