New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar Thursday stressed that he is still the party’s national convenor after holding a meeting with executives.
Talking to media person, the NCP chief said that there is no importance if anybody self-claims to be party’s president. This comes after his nephew Ajit Pawar was elected as the party president with the votes of majority of party workers.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar’s faction has claimed that there is no legal sanctity of any meetings being conevened by Sharad Pawar, owing to the fact that he has been chosena as new party president.
On one such question, Ajit Pawar said there is no truth and importance of this statement.
“Now, whatever we need to say, we will say it before the Election Commission of India,” added NCP president Sharad Pawar.
