New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has received a petition from Ajit Pawar staking claim to Nationalist Congress Party and party symbol, the news agency ANI quoted its sources.

Meanwhile, Jayant Patil from Sharad Pawar’s group sent a caveat to the ECI that they have initiated disqualification process against 9 MLAs who joined the Shinde-Fadnavis government on July 2.
