A shocking incident has come to light from Kolhapur in Maharashtra on Wednesday, where a 23-year-old woman in a live-in relationship was brutally stabbed to death. The incident took place in Sarnobatwadi area. The deceased has been identified as Samiksha Bharat Narasimhe, a resident of Kasba Bavda. Reportedly, the girl and the accused Satish Yadav are residents of Shivaji Peth area of Kolhapur and both used to work at the same place.
The couple was living together in Sarnobatwadi area for the last few months. It is being told that for the last eight days there was a dispute between them regarding marriage. Satish was pressurising Samiksha for marriage, but Samiksha was not ready for it.
On the day of the incident, Samiksha had come to the room with one of her friends. Satish then reached there and in anger attacked her with a sharp knife. The attack was so serious that the knife got stuck in her ribs. Her friend immediately rushed her to the hospital with the help of people around, but it was too late. Samiksha died before treatment could begin.
A case of murder has been registered in Gandhinagar Police Station. Police are searching for the accused and investigating the case thoroughly. The incident has once again raised questions on live-in relationships, trust in relationships and the importance of personal decisions.
Meanwhile, in a major crackdown, the Customs Department seized hydroponic marijuana worth Rs 8.6 crore at Mumbai Airport. This recovery was made through two separate cases, in which three Indian passengers were arrested. According to News24 reporter Vinod Jagdale, all the accused had returned to Mumbai from Bangkok.
