Sanjay Raut: The Maharashtra Assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar ordered an inquiry against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut after a huge uproar in the state Legislative Assembly over Raut’s ‘thieves’ remark.
In a statement Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut called Maharashtra legislative members ‘thieves’.
Amid uproar by Eknath Shinde faction leaders against Raut’s remark, the Assembly had to adjourn four times. Speaker Rahul Narwekar said, The inquiry will be completed in the next two days and a decision on the matter will be taken on 8th March.
Sanjay Raut while talking to the media today referred to the state’s Legislature as a thief. After his statement, the Shinde faction Shiv-Sena and BJP took an aggressive stance and demanded action against Raut.
