After the shocking incident of a woman and her lover killing her husband, chopping up his body, and dumping it in a cement-lined drum in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, another case of a husband killing his wife in a rage has come to light from Maharashtra.
Mangesh Kamble is alleged to have killed his 28-year-old wife, Prajakta Mangesh Kamble, after which he stuffed her body into an electric pump box. The incident took place in Maharashtra’s Sangli district.
The Story
For the past fifteen years, Mangesh’s brother Nilesh and their mother had been living in Mangale, renting a house opposite the Jyotiba Temple on Mangale-Varananagar Road. Four days ago, Mangesh, along with his wife Prajakta and their two young children—six-year-old Shivam and three-year-old Shivanya—arrived from Mumbai to stay with them. They had been living together for a few days.
On the day of the incident, Mangesh’s brother and mother went to Devwadi to attend a program. Meanwhile, an argument broke between the husband and wife around 10 am. As the argument escalated, Mangesh killed Prajakta in a fit of rage. He is believed to have strangled her to death.
What Happened Next?
After the murder, Mangesh Kamble broke her limbs and hid her body in a broken electric pump box stored in the next room by the house owner. He then locked the room and called his brother Nilesh. Afterwards, Mangesh asked Nilesh to bring the car to go to Shirala town. Nilesh arrived in Mangale village from Devwadi, after which the accused left for Shirala in his brother’s car.
After committing the murder, Mangesh Kamble dismembered his wife’s body and concealed it in a broken electric pump box stored in the adjacent room by the house owner. He then locked the room and called his brother Nilesh. Shortly after, Mangesh asked Nilesh to bring the car, claiming he needed to go to Shirala town. Nilesh arrived in Mangale village from Devwadi, after which Mangesh took his brother’s car and left for Shirala.
In Auraiya, a wife and his lover hired a contract killer to murder her husband. In another part of Uttar Pradesh, a husband took an unusual step of wedding of his wife to his lover. The man got his wife wedded to her lover of 18 months and even became a witness to the marriage.
